Title: Plant Paintings
Project Type: Painting
Materials: Indian Ink, Watercolour on paper
Year: 2000 ongoing
Painting plants allows me to immerse myself in beauty while honing my skills in capturing shapes and colours. It's a way for me to observe and record the natural world, all while staying present in the moment.
“Tulip Tree
Looking up a ladder
Into the heart of gold
On a an October day
The leaves of a Tulip tree
Gently rustling
And softly bowing
Leaves in layers
And layers
Gently handing me
Delicate dishes
Of never before tasted
Gems of beauty
Which float to the ground
Into a golden Circle
Sitting with all this gold
How can I not
Feel
Anything
But full of gold
”
